Our Work

    1. Selection - When you come in to visit our showroom, we will go over some different materials for your project and find something that best fits your needs.

    2. Estimate - Once selections have been made, we will go over some options such as sinks, edge profiles and overhang if applicable. An estimate will be provided on the spot long as the rough dimensions are provided.

    3. Deposit - Once an estimate is approved and a deposit is received, we will schedule a template to come out and digitally measure your surface area.

    4. Template - This is one of the most important steps in your project! The sink will be brought back to the shop and cabinets must be installed. On average, a digital template takes around 30 minutes.

    5. Final Approval - A digital layout of your project based on the exact slab you selected will be sent over for final approval. Nothing will be fabricated until the final selections are signed off.

    6. Fabrication - We will start production soon as the approval is received. Lead time from template to install is typically 7 days.

    7. Install - Our crew will come in to install your countertops. After completion, we will go over how to care for your countertops and answer any questions you have.

  • How fast can I get new countertops?

    Once a deposit has been received and cabinets are in place, Template is usually 3 days out followed with another 3 days for install. You can have new countertops in just 7 days!

    Can you remove my existing countertops?

    Yes, our installers will remove and dispose of your existing countertops the day of your install.

    What is digital fabrication?

    Most of the fabrication shops will manually template the project and fabricate using a bridge saw that is only capable of making straight cuts. At Stone Lab Surfaces, we template using a digital template machine then convert the file into a format the CNC is able to read. The machine then makes all of the necessary cuts decreasing the need for manual labor, increasing accuracy and speeding up the project.

    Can I use my existing sink?

    Although we don’t recommend using existing sinks, of course! The sink will be brought back to the shop after template to ensure a precise sink cutout.

    I Have a very small project and only need a small piece, do I need a full slab?

    There are hundreds of remnants available for viewing right outside. Pieces anywhere from 20” to over 100” can be considered as remnants. Template and install is also available for smaller projects if needed.

    Is it possible to have something fabricated and I can pick it up?

    Of course! Dimensions must be signed off on prior to fabrication. You will also receive a pick up discount. Please keep in mind that stone is extremely heavy and some materials are very fragile. Prepare accordingly.
